NGHP Seeks Sponsors for Erwin Mitchell Community Health Fair

Last year, more than 1,000 people attended the Erwin Mitchell Community Health Fair, taking advantage of accessing health care services and gaining information on living a healthy lifestyle.

Fortunately, many of those attendees were able to be diagnosed as a result of their attendance with existing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, which enabled them to begin treating those conditions.

Others were able to learn about their risk factors for breast, cervical, prostate, and other cancers, which in many cases has led to prevention awareness, treatments, and cures.

October 10 is the date for this year’s Erwin Mitchell Community Health Fair, and in the upcoming weeks, the Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership will be nailing down its sponsors for this annual event. There’s still time for potential sponsors to reserve a space as the deadline for sponsorship and exhibitor commitments is Wednesday, September 30.

The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place at the Mack Gaston Community Center in Dalton from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 10.

Each year, around 50 or so vendors are on hand to provide community members access to all sorts of healthcare educational materials and access to a wide array of community resources. These vendors and supporting businesses include hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and community agencies.

We would like to invite those for whom it’s appropriate to help sponsor this great community event, thus being a part of the solution to serious health problems.

All contributions are tax deductible and there are several ways to participate: one as a sponsor and another as an exhibitor.

Levels of sponsorships include our Platinum Partners, at $2,000; Gold Partners at $1,000; Silver Partners at $500; and Bronze Partners at $250.

Exhibition rates are $75 for business, but there is no charge for non-profit organizations, schools, colleges and government agencies. There’s also no charge for health care providers, but we ask that all exhibitors bring a door prize to be placed in a drawing for attendees.

If you wish to be an exhibitor, please go to our website at nghp.org or call Ali Harp at 706-272-6662

We look forward to another great year of improving health outcomes for our Northwest Georgia community.
