A trip to the movie theater can be an overwhelming experience for one on the autism spectrum. Crowding as people queue up to buy tickets, loud movie volume, and dark theater lighting can all be sensory overload triggers that keep some autistic people from ever seeing movies at the cinema.
On January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Carmike 12 of Dalton will be showcasing STAR WARS-ROGUE ONE for those desiring a sensory friendly movie going experience.
This sensory friendly movie-going experience is brought to you through collaboration with the Fighting for Autism, the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia, Elder Law Office of David McGuffey, Cohutta Banking Company and the Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership.
This viewing is open to NWGA families of children with Autism. Each family qualifies for up to four free tickets by completing all the required fields at checkout. Additional tickets may be purchased for $12.50 each. Tickets may be printed at checkout, picked-up at NGHP or Cohutta Banking Company-1501 N Thornton Ave, Dalton.
